Last post WHEN??
Wow, last post in APRIL? shame on me!
well, lets see, what's happened? i have got everything i need for the ride in only 3 and a bit days, apart from my cycle shorts and water bottle... i will soon sort that...
I was on a week long Juicing Diet by Jason Vale, and in 1 week lost 2.5kg! :)
Training has been good, but perhaps it will be more of a shock when I get going at 8am from London!
I'm really looking forward to this, and want to say thank you to all those who have sponsored me!

Long time no speak!
Things just pile up and then you don't do it, and it gets silly...
so I'm here, still doing everything trying to get sponsors for my cause, i have the bike and helmet, and am planing my first 10km ride next week, and the week after 15km, then 20km... whew... cant wait! :)
getting my water bladder and helmet cam sorted too... so its all exciting times! :)
sorry for not posting sooner!

Loving the new bike...
Really happy with the new bike. will get some pictures up soon...
done about 3 miles on it already, and boy i am hurting in places I didn't even know could hurt... that's how long its been since I got on a bike!
Training really started this week, 2 miles in the morning in the park, every day to start with. :)

New BIKE!!!
Wohoo! its taken a while, but I'm on my way to get a new bike... about time... my training has been minuscule lately, so this will take me to then next level. I'm thinking 5 miles a day? this should get me started! :)

Longer Week!
its been a while since I posted. it been a long couple of weeks at uni... i am still on target for my training and everything else... just need to beef up the training!
now though I am on a bike hunt, to find the most suitable hybrid bike to use both for paris, and also for everyday use...

Equipment
Today, I got my new helmet. i had one, but it was battered and had a crack on the side, so it was no longer any good for service! and i got a bell....
so this is great... just need a bike! still scrimping to get one... need a general use bike that will do for multi use before and after the challenge.
anyway... got to get to uni and planning training sessions... doing 10miles around a park, or going and seeing more of my city?

The plot thickens...
My very pregnant wife was not entirely sure if i was being serious about the cycle ride, as the last few days i have not done much training due to the pressure at university...
but after much reassurance, she was happy to know that I hadn't given up on the idea!
so she too has re-determined her efforts to help me in my weight loss:
and yesterday, after bringing home a pack of 12 doughnuts for a evening meal, she scalded me for picking up a second one, when she was holding her 5th...
so as you can see.... i will succeed in this endevour... fat will simply run away from me.... as long as my wife stays pregnant, and with the healthy appetite she has! lol
need to get stuck in... Training that is! ... whew... just not enough hours in the day? :)

- when there are sweeties around she happily munches them for me so as to save my appetite,
- when serving plates she gives me the smaller portion (especially on our quite nights with a movie and pizza)

Long Week!
its been a long week so far!
first week back to uni, and there has been crazy goings on with hand ins and new assignments being given.
been walking again, getting back in shape, breaking a sweat. every day its been 25min brisk walk and sometimes more, with a smaller, but heather breakfasts... time to get really stuck in!
only a short while till i take to the streets on a new bike... hopefully next month my new all purpose bike will be bought and on my training program... :)
my wife has carefully monitored my progress, and ensured that i did not balloon too much over these holidays!
back to a nice jog with my son in his buggy! :) (my wife wants me to take him to the park...)
